The Dalai Lama and the Secret to Inner Peace

What does the Title “Dalai Lama” Mean and what is the Secret of Inner Peace?

Several year ago we traveled for 6 days through Tibet on our way to Nepal. There we experienced the secret of inner peace of this country. It is the most beautiful, peaceful place on earth. We showed the locals a picture of the Dalai Lama, which is forbidden in Tibet. People were very eager to see his picture so they could worship him.

Buddha statueThe name Dalai Lama is derived from a combination of the Mongolian word dalai which means “ocean,” and the Tibetan word bla-ma which means “teacher or mentor.” The Dalai Lama’s title implies that he is rich in knowledge and wisdom and must be revered by the people.

Although the school of Tibetan Buddhism and the Dalai Lama himself has been embroiled in politics (some were even considered as unspiritual), the Dalai Lama Ngawang Lobsang Gyatso played a very important role in the reunification of Tibet in 1630 A.D. when the Mongol and the Manchu factions went for each other’s throat. Ever since that time The Dalai Lama became Tibet’s unofficial Prime Minister until China annexed Tibet and the new Dalai Lama as well as the entire Tibetan Buddhist school were forced to live in exile. Discipline for the body: Meditation for the mind

Yoga_LadyDiscipline is for the body while meditation is for the mind. Masters in the art of mortal combat often teaches the “mind over matter” techniques in order to achieve maximum potential. Your awareness, calm, and focus will increase through proper meditation. The subtle differences can mean victory or defeat in combat. Improper tuning of awareness causes a weak stance for the enemy to exploit. Entering combat with a clouded mind renders you impaired in making decisions whether to attack or defend. An anxious mind will result in an un-calmed body which wastes more energy than needed; you will have been defeated by your opponent even before the combat begins. This counts also for your everyday life; with a calm mind your progress improves fast with a troubled mind you stand still or reverse.

The Meditative Process
You may have heard it said that the human mind is like a computer – complex and processes a lot of information. Well that’s actually an understatement because in reality it is more powerful than any computer in the world and the key to unlocking this power is meditation. Here is a simple analogy about Read More

Selenite Crystals & Their Healing Properties

selenite webMy instructor instructed me to research the selenite crystal during our Medium-ship workshop. She mentioned it would be very beneficial for this class. She was right, so I bought this great crystal. I was expecting a small crystal but was clearly surprised when I opened the package. It was huge.

The Attributes of Selenite

Selenite Crystals are remarkably peaceful. They instill a deep sense of inner peace, clarity and carry a very high vibration that makes them ideal for healing. The crown chakra is associated with the Selenite stone and aside from this you can use Selenite to contact your Guardian Angel or Spiritual Guides.

Cleansing and clearing other crystals of negative energies and vibrations is another wonderful property of Selenite. Unlike other metaphysical stones, Read More

How to protect your Skin during the summer months

MH900425499Integumentary system is nothing more than the elastic external covering of your body or what is commonly referred to as “the skin.” It’s a pretty fancy way to describe your skin isn’t it?  While your skin has been designed by Mother Nature to be tough and the first line of defense for the body, it is by no means a delicate and sensitive organ of the human physique.
