Staying Fit Forever

Senior man working with weights in gymSome retired people I know are staying fit forever by being engaged in various recreational activities such as laughing yoga, outdoor group exercises (i.e. dancing, aerobics, Tai-chi etc.), golf and many others; however, many just sit around at home and play with their laptops or tablets or even their smartphones. Online bingo has replaced traditional bingo’s due to the irresistible prizes that they give away, some of which are so extravagant that they’ll allow you to go to places like Disneyland, a round-trip ticket and pocket money!

While this all may seem good, it fails to address what happens to your overall health and well-being.

The fact of the matter is that you need to stay fit the older you get, because that’s when your body starts to degenerate. So aウォーキング healthy diet, good exercise, rest and recreation is absolutely necessary for you. So if you haven’t thought about coming up with a plan that will include everything above yet, then here’s one for you. We will give you tips in the next 6 blog articles on living longer and staying healthy.

Creating Your Own Health Plans

Get High Pay Offs with the Trade Off

Cholesterol plaque in artery (atherosclerosis) illustrationOkay, so you win between $50 to $250 each week on online bingos and on your best day you make $5,000 or even $20,000 in jackpot prizes or a holiday family package for 2, 3, 4 or even 5 people in some resort half a world away. But those nasty fat bubbles keep crawling up your arteries until one day it knocks you off of your feet and will send you to the hospital, or worse the cemetery. So trading off your iPad or laptop for at least three times a week of a good workout that will help you burn those unwanted fats. It will also give you a high pay off in terms of increasing your number of years to live. And who knows?! You might even get greater opportunities.

Your Workout Routine does not Stop at the Gym

Fitness experts would tell you that a good workout routine is between 20 minutes to 2 hours a day. You can do a lot within those time frames which will burn a lot of calories in your body, enhance your blood circulation and make you healthy; however, you need to stay on your feet even after your regular workout. How? By doing house chores and other fun activities alone or with friends as oppose to just living a sedentary lifestyle. So make it a habit to get up from the couch or bed and walk around every 2 hours, well, except for when you’re already asleep.

Staying Fit is an Amalgamation of Two Things

Besides routine exercise you also need to eat real food and not junk food. Remember you’ll only get less than 70% of the Woman with vegetarian foodnutrients of the food that you cook so eating junk food will make your body weak, because there are no nutrients in them. As a rule of thumb you should always prioritize eating vegetables, fruits, fiber-rich foods, mercury free fish and other health-giving sea foods, organic milk and other dairy products, rare herbs (especially Chinese herbs) and specialized tea. Make sure to combine your awesome workout routine with an awesome diet to achieve unbelievable results.

“First we make Habits, then they Habits make Us…”

I know of a woman from Vietnam who has diabetes and understanding what her doctor told her, she opted to only eat a few vegetables including the bitter gourd. As a result her sugar levels never reaches the threshold and, in fact, there was one time where it went down so low that she collapsed. This woman has an amazing willpower and to think she didn’t even need a New Year’s resolution to completely change her eating habits and her lifestyle. Making a decision is actually getting yourself used to a new habit and sooner or later working out and eating healthy foods will eventually become your hobby. Isn’t it wonderful to develop good habits?!

By doing a Functional Thermogram you can see where your body is holding on to the toxins.
