Barefoot Blended

There are a wealth of barefoot massage techniques to choose from. Why choose just one? Get the best of all worlds. This service is a blend of any and/or all barefoot massage techniques selected and tailored to your body’s specific needs.

Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy®

Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy® is considered a DEEP compressive form of bodywork. While utilizing gravity to perform ashiatsu your therapist is able to apply up to 100% of their bodyweight in pressure with their feet. This technique is widely adaptable and can range from a deep effleurage technique to a deep tissue technique or even a myofascial technique depending on your body’s unique needs and your therapist’s discretion.

Ashi-Thai™

Ashi-Thai™ is a combination of compressive techniques and passive stretches. This technique is a hybrid of traditional Thai massage and Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy® techniques elevated from a mat on the floor to a massage table. Ashi-Thai™ is commonly referred to as “lazy man’s yoga” due to you being able to remain passive while your therapist performs the stretches and places you in different yoga poses. This technique is performed with the client fully clothed, without any oils or creams.

Chavutti Thirumal

90 minutes | $200

120 minutes | $250

Chavutti Thirumal is the oldest recorded form of barefoot massage in the world. Originating in southern India this form was designed for the maintenance of martial artists’ bodies making it the ultimate form of sports massage. This is a very energetic and flowy form of massage that addresses the “nadi” lines (energy pathways) within your body. This is traditionally practiced on a mat on the floor with a rope hanging from wall to wall for the balance and support of your therapist. Techniques have been modified and translated to the table with use of the overhead bars.

SARGA BODYWORK®

This unique form of barefoot massage is performed on a table with sarga silks attached underneath and looped up and around your therapist to provide stability and consistency in delivering effective myofascial therapy to your body. Slow, deep and broad pressure is applied with your therapists feet to engage the fascial tissue and stimulate a stretch response in the fascia. This form of bodywork treats muscle pain, inflammation and restriction, by relaxing contracted muscles, stimulating length and hydration in the tissue, and improving circulation. (Coming Soon)

Fijian Barefoot Massage

Originating from Kadavu Island of the Fiji Islands this barefoot massage technique is performed with the client fully clothed on a mat on the floor. Rhythmic static and jostling compressions are applied from the therapist’s feet to create a relaxing sports massage experience. This technique can be translated onto the massage table.

Barefoot Shiatsu

This barefoot massage technique is traditionally practiced on a mat on the floor with the client fully clothed. Your therapist provides sustained and rhythmic pressure using their feet, knees and elbows to follow meridian lines (energy lines observed in Traditional Chinese Medicine) to address muscle tightness and areas of client discomfort from day to day stress and repetitive injuries. This technique can be translated onto the massage table.

The Rossiter System

The Rossiter System is a series of powerful and effective two-person pin-and stretch release techniques for addressing structural pain and restriction of movement in connective tissue. This technique identifies and relieves your body’s issues that arise from overuse, repetitive strain or injury and works to quickly restore connective tissue to its natural, healthy state. This technique is traditionally practiced on a mat on the floor with the client fully clothed but can be incorporated into an ashiatsu session for table top comfort.
