My upbringing as an only child in two distinct cultural environments presented challenges. Constantly adapting to fit in with others’ expectations left me feeling like a perpetual chameleon, never fully embracing my own identity. This perpetual state of vigilance kept me on edge, my mind in constant turmoil, doubting every decision I made. I found myself feeling lost, paralyzed by fear of appearing foolish or failing.

I’m Hannah Poe Klaassen, a 31-year-old Licensed Professional Counselor in Denton, TX. I chose the path of therapy to assist those who feel adrift, silencing the inner critics that haunt them. I specialize in helping individuals confront the destructive cycles fueled by self-doubt, shame, and negative influences. My journey, marked by periods of uncertainty and self-discovery, especially upon realizing my ADHD, has equipped me with insights to guide others.

Having explored various career paths and interests—teaching, yoga, bartending, enneagram studies, spirituality, and more—I’ve come to understand that true self-awareness isn’t about mastering every skill or acquiring endless knowledge. In my five years as a therapist, I’ve learned that while some pursuits may offer valuable lessons, many serve as distractions from our core objectives. This realization underscores my commitment to supporting clients as they navigate their paths, providing the metaphorical bumper guards to keep them on course toward their aspirations.

If you find yourself grappling with questions of identity, purpose, and potential, let’s connect. Schedule a complimentary consultation, and together, we’ll work to liberate you from the grip of the past, empowering you to embrace the future and embody your authentic self.

If you’re feeling like something is fundamentally wrong with you, whether you can pinpoint it or it’s a deep-seated feeling, you might rationalize it by believing you’re worthless, bad, or at fault for past hardships. Despite knowing deep down these beliefs aren’t accurate, they persist. However, the truth is, there’s nothing inherently wrong with you; rather, you’ve been hurt and carry unresolved wounds that need nurturing and love.

Your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and beliefs, though causing pain, are attempts to protect yourself, albeit sometimes misguided. You deserve dignity, respect, protection, and love, which you may not have received from those who hurt you. I can guide you in learning to love wisely, starting with understanding yourself and treating yourself with the care you deserve.

In therapy, I provide a safe space where clients experience compassionate support, helping them feel at ease. Using evidence-based interventions like EMDR and drawing from philosophical practices, I assist clients in cultivating self-wisdom and growth.

It’s natural to feel scared, but know that I’m here to accompany you on this journey. All it takes is the courage to reach out for help. If this resonates with you, contact me for a free consultation, and together, we’ll chart your path forward.

Being a human can be extremely overwhelming. In today’s world there is a lot being thrown at us during all times of the day. In such a fast-paced environment it can be difficult to really slow down and understand ourselves for who we truly are and what brings us joy. I’m a big believer in tiny moments that can shape us, whether that shaping is good or bad.

From a very young age I always knew counseling is what I wanted to do with my life and I find it a true privilege to walk alongside others during their most tender and vulnerable times. My philosophy is to leave people and things better than how I found them. Through my clinical experience, I have found creating a safe space to be the most important thing. My past clientele have ranged in age from adolescents to adults with an emphasis on exploring authenticity, working through addictive behaviors, and navigating the peaks and valleys that life brings our way. I want to sit with you through your sorrows and grief as well as your accomplishments and joys. You are worthy of time that is solely focused on you and only you.

You’ve tried to fit into society’s mold of happiness, or maybe you’ve felt unlucky and lacking the resources for fulfillment. You’ve lived by others’ standards, sacrificing yourself in hopes of finding fulfillment, only to be left with pain and hopelessness. But what if you could break free from this reality?

Imagine a different path where you’re encouraged to be your authentic self. Embrace a reality untethered from past judgments, crafting a new story tailored just for you. As a multiracial Army Brat, I’ve worn masks to seek acceptance, feeling broken and lost. Yet, beneath the surface, I discovered unique gifts within me.

Through spirituality and energy medicine, I’ve learned to heal my subconscious and transform my reality. Now, I help others on their healing journey, guiding them to explore their core beliefs and patterns. I don’t dictate what a fulfilling life looks like; it varies for each person. But I offer support in realizing it, addressing issues like self-esteem, life changes, and trauma through modalities like mindfulness, EFT, PSYCH-K, and Reiki.

You possess more wisdom than you realize. Let me assist you in breaking free from limiting beliefs. Book a free 15-minute consultation to start your healing journey today!
